Patient Group Directives
Paitent group directives or PGD’s, are a set of policies which are set up with instructions to administer medicines to patients without the need for a patient to see a doctor and get a prescription, under a strict criteria. Once example of PGD’s at work is when there is a vaccination program. The PGD allows the vaccination teams to administer the vaccine without the need to go via the GP.
