Diabetic eye screening is a test offered by the Gibraltar Health Authority to check for eye problems caused by diabetes. Eye problems caused by diabetes are called diabetic retinopathy. This can lead to sight loss if it is not detected early.
The eye screening test can find problems before they affect your sight.
From the age of 12, all people with diabetes are offered annual diabetes eye screening invitations to check for early signs of diabetic retinopathy. Ophthalmic Department contact 200 72266 Ext. 2688.
