Job Summary
The Gibraltar Health Authority invites applications for the post of Speech and Language Therapist Junior from suitably qualified individuals, who by virtue of their citizenship are entitled to take up employment and who are or upon employment will be resident in Gibraltar.
Applicants must hold:
- A BSC (Hons) or MSc degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC and RCSLT registration
- Relevant experience/training in Dysphagia
Membership of relevant Clinical Excellence Networks and evidence of CPD portfolio is highly desirable.
The post holder would be part of a progressive, supportive and flexible adult SLT team working in St. Bernard Hospital Wards, SLT clinics and community settings. We are looking for an enthusiastic, competent and resourceful SLT who will work with the team in providing a comprehensive Speech & Language Therapy service for adults with a wide variety of conditions affecting communication and swallowing including; Stroke, Brain Injury, Parkinson’s, Dementia and Voice disorders
This post comes with a varied caseload and would be an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified SLT looking to establish a sound working knowledge in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of communication disorders and working towards developing their dysphagia skills using the RCSLT competencies framework.
This appointment will be on indefinite terms on successful completion of a 12 months’ probationary period and carries the following salary scale: £33,351, £34,604, £35,078, £36,043 & £37,230.
