Job Summary
The Gibraltar Health Authority invites applications for the post of Clinical Engineering Technician from suitably qualified individuals, who by virtue of their citizenship are entitled to take up employment and who are, or upon employment, will be resident in Gibraltar.
Applicants will assist with the repair, commissioning, preventive maintenance and safety testing of equipment and plant across the Gibraltar Health Authority. The post holder will support the safe, efficient and compliant operation of devices by assisting with basic fault-finding, scheduled maintenance, calibration, equipment upgrades and associated documentation tasks.
Duties will include assisting clinical engineering staff, helping to maintain accurate equipment records, and contributing to the day-to-day running of the service. The post holder will carry out tasks under supervision and in accordance with departmental procedures. Participation in an on-call rota and occasional work outside normal hours may also be required.
The post is permanent, subject to a successful completion of a 12-month probationary period, and carries the following salary:
